INFORMATION ABOUT CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK (COVID-19)
The NHS across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent will be better prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases, if the public follows Public Health England advice.
The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of patients and staff which may mean your patient experience is subject to change.
The Chief Medical Officer announced on Friday 13th March that the country is moving into the ‘Delay’ stage of the response to coronavirus (Covid-19).
The new advice issued by the Chief Medical Officer is to stay at home for 7 days if you have either:
- a high temperature or
- a new continuous cough
Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or a hospital. You do not need to contact 111 to tell them you're staying at home.
Please visit 111.nhs.uk online coronavirus service if:
- you feel you cannot cope with your symptoms at home
- your condition gets worse
- your symptoms do not get better after 7 days
Only call 111 if you cannot get help online.

Sick notes and Prescriptions
To reduce the flow of foot traffic in the surgery we will be sending ALL prescriptions through the electronic prescription service, if you do not already have a nominated pharmacy please inform us of you chosen pharmacy when ordering your medication.
If you have a sick note issued we will be sending these through email. You will be informed of how to go about this when ordering your sick note.

The Primary Care Team at the CCG have commissioned Healthwatch Staffordshire to conduct a patient engagement survey on Active Signposting (also known as ‘Care Navigation’) across South and East Staffordshire. Active Signposting can have a valuable impact in helping patients/carers see the most appropriate professional or service first time. We recognise all of the hard work of Receptionists across the area to help patients and carers.
This survey is so we can gather patient and carer feedback and views on Active Signposting. The survey will focus on understanding how comfortable you are with the process, how confident you are in the Receptionists understanding you needs, patients’ knowledge of alternative health professionals and services they can access and then their overall satisfaction.
